Young Maker Invitation

Southwest Maker Fest (SWMF) welcomes young makers and invites them to submit an innovative project that showcases their imagination and wonder about the world around us.

SWMF is a showcase for creative projects, and young makers demonstrate the vision and mission of SWMF. If you know (or are!) a young maker who is creative and enthusiastic about sharing what they/you make, consider applying to exhibit at the eighth annual SWMF on Saturday, February 17, 2024.

Young maker projects selected for SWMF display creativity, interaction, and collaboration through engaging project design. The best young maker award winner receives an invitation to present their project at the Arizona Science and Engineering Fair (AzSEF).

All projects – whether art, science, or engineering – should engage the audience through creative display, interaction, and instruction. SWMF is an exciting avenue for Young Makers who don’t fit the traditional science fair requirements to exhibit at AzSEF.
